Some communities keep a waitlist of vetted potential members so if someone leaves, the community can replace them. For other communities, this chosen family is the only iteration, and they decide they’d rather sell the whole thing if one person leaves. Both are valid options, but the decision should be carefully laid out in the operating agreement.
